Water School, 2018

It investigated how to develop a future school and using the medium of an exhibition and lectures as a tool, we aims to connect companies, governmental bodies and designers working on topics related to water and education.

A selected team of employees from Studio Makkink & Bey will perform research on these topics and how to integrate them into the architecture and curriculum of the School, in order to present their findings during exhibition. Paired with this, lecturers from the cultural sector, the industry and the government will share their views on water and education within lectures and discussions.

Using the medium of an exhibition and lectures as a tool, Studio Makkink & Bey aims to connect companies, governmental bodies and designers working on topics related to water and education. In doing so, they aim to create an active archive and network, branching out from the hinterland of Studio Makkink & Bey, being the M4H district, which is to be activated and used to found the WaterSchool. The exhibition started in Rotterdam and traveled from the Netherlands to Istanbul Turkey and to Shenzen, China
